The Annual Parent & Child Tournament will be held at the club on Friday 10th May. Commences at 5pm finishing at approx 8pm.
This inhouse tournament consists of a parent & child combination playing doubles in a knock-out or round-robin format depending on numbers. This is a FUN tournament with matches played in a friendly spirit. The winning team receives a trophy.
Who can enter?
*The child must be a Junior or Intermediate club member, but the parent/grandparent does not have to be a member.
*Minimum player ability is you must be at a level where you can participate in a game of tennis (ie. serve and hit the ball consistently over the net at least 3-4 times).
* Regrettably if you are a Junior/Intermediate member and play Senior Interclub or played in Senior Club Champs, you are not eligible to play.
The object of the tournament is aimed towards our Junior/Intermediate members enjoying the experience of playing in a tournament environment with their family member against opponents of a similar ability.
Entries are by email only. Send an email to: admin@cocklebaytennis.co.nz advising member's name and playing partner's name. Entry fee is $5 per doubles combination (includes an ice block for the child).
Entries close at 5pm on Monday 6th May 2013 or sooner once maximum numbers are reached. Numbers are limited, so first in/first served.
