Restringing at Manukau Tennis Centre

The most important contributor to a great performing racquet is the string you put in it.

We use the Wilson Baiardo Stringing machine, the most advanced stringing machine in the World and the only one in the North Island. It is used at many of The World’s most prestigious events - US Open, Australian Open, Sony Ericcson Championships and many others.

We stock Babolat, Wilson, Head, Prince, Technifibre, Luxilon plus other strings.

Question: How often should I restring my tennis racquet?

Answer: The common rule of thumb is to restring as often per year as you play per week. This is just a rough guideline. Some types of string lose tension faster than others, big or topspin hitters wear strings out much faster than flat hitters, and some players seem quite happy to let the strings decide when to be replaced -- by breaking.

Contact Mike (537-8566 / 021-440-266) to make arrangements to collect/drop-off your racquet, alternatively speak to any of the coaching staff. Expect 1-2 days for restringing to be completed.

Same day service is available if the racquet is dropped off before 11am at Manukau Tennis Centre (Phone 274-4577). This option is available 7 days a week.
